Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Konit LLC, a company organized in the United States ("Konit", "we", "us"), and govern your use of Dublo Learn at dublolearn.app and its learner and tutor panels (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

Your account is personal. Keep the email address on it current and do not share sign-in codes. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

3. The Service

Dublo Learn is an English-learning platform: a structured course of interactive units from A1 to C2, review tests, word practice, podcasts, and Dublo AI, an in-app assistant. We may add, change or remove features, content and languages over time.

Dublo AI is an automated assistant. It can make mistakes. Its answers are for learning support only and are not professional advice of any kind. Level results, certificates and scores issued by the Service describe your progress within Dublo Learn and are not an official language qualification.

4. Free use and subscriptions

A subscription is required to use the course. Word practice and the in-app assistant are included in it. Speaking clubs are free to join for anyone with an account.

Prices: subscription prices are set per country and shown in your local currency before you pay. The price shown is the price you are charged: any sales tax or VAT that applies to you is already included in it. Prices may change; a change applies to you only from your next renewal after we have told you about it.

Renewal: subscriptions are billed in advance for the period you choose (monthly or every six months) and renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. There is no free trial: the first period is charged when you enter your card.

Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from Billing. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund partial periods except where the law requires it.

Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, we will keep your access open for three days while you update your payment method. If payment has not succeeded after three days, paid features are suspended until a payment succeeds. Your learning data is kept.

Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms. Where we are required to collect sales tax or VAT, it is calculated out of the price you see rather than added on top of it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: share, resell or publicly distribute course content, audio or questions; copy or scrape the Service or its content; interfere with the Service, its security or other users; use automated means to access the Service except as we allow; misuse Dublo AI to generate harmful, abusive or unlawful content; or attempt to bypass the free-use limits or payment.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms. Where reasonable we will warn you first.

6. Content and intellectual property

The Service and its content (course units, audio, questions, texts, software, design and trademarks) belong to Konit or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own learning. You keep the rights to what you write in the Service (for example your bio and messages) and grant us a licence to store and process it in order to provide the Service.

7. Tutors and speaking clubs

Where the Service offers live sessions or lessons with tutors, tutors are independent and responsible for their own sessions. Tutors also accept our Tutor Agreement, which sets out the service fee we keep, how tutors are paid, and what happens when a lesson is cancelled.

Paying for a lesson: you pay for a private lesson when you book it. The price and the amount due are shown before you pay, and payment is taken on the page by our payment provider — your card details never reach us.

Cancelling a lesson: you can cancel a booked lesson from your lessons list. If you cancel more than 24 hours before it starts, we refund the full amount to the card you paid with. If you cancel within 24 hours of the start, or do not attend, the lesson is not refunded and the tutor is paid for it.

If the tutor cancels or does not attend, you are not charged for that lesson: the amount is added to your account as credit, which is applied automatically to your next lesson booking. Credit does not expire and is not paid out in cash.

Recording: live lessons and speaking clubs are recorded — audio only, never video — so that we can look into a report if someone raises one. Everyone in the room is told before joining and has to accept it once; the room shows a visible notice for as long as it is recording. Recordings are reviewed automatically for safety; a person only listens to or reads one when a report is being handled. What we keep and for how long is in the Privacy Policy.

Behaviour in live sessions: you may report anyone in a room, from inside the room, without ending the call. Harassment, sexual content, discriminatory language, attempts to move payment off the platform and selling other services are grounds for us to suspend or terminate an account.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise any particular learning outcome, exam result or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Konit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case these limits apply to the extent permitted.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service; in the last case we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid period you cannot use.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Konit LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located there, unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally. Before starting a claim, please contact us; most issues can be resolved by email.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will notify you in the Service or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
